Laura Bruni
Laura Bruni has been an active member of the Labour Party since 1986, and she has substantial Parliamentary, organisation and campaigning experience. Between 1997 to 2005 she worked as Parliamentary Assistant to John Cryer MP, the Labour MP for Hornchurch. Before that up to 1997, she was a constituency caseworker for the late Bernie Grant MP and also managed his successful campaign for the regulation of immigration advisers. She currently works for a health and community involvement organisation.
These experiences have taught her how important it is for this country to have a Labour Government. She has now applied to be the Labour cnadidate in Walthamstow to succeed Neil Gerrard.
In May 2005 she stood as the Labour Candidate for Colchester, and fought a tough campaign against the sitting Liberal Democrat MP Bob Russell, an experience she found both challenging and rewarding.
